Lubricants

Lubricants are used to ease the movement of two surfaces over each other and reduce wear and tear. A classic example is in an engine where oil is used. Lubricants are also used to reduce temperatures particularly in drilling operations such as oil or even in lathes where drilling through metal produces excessive heat.
